Our professional training courses will teach you everything you need to know to start cleaning carpets and upholstery professionally.
Our trainer Derek Bolton has over 40 years of experience within the carpet cleaning industry. Derek has served as NCCA President and Technical Director (now Honorary member). There’s nothing Derek doesn’t know about professionally cleaning carpets and upholstery!
Our courses are low cost but high quality – take a look at the numerous reviews left by previous delegates. You also get a free day’s training course included with every carpet cleaning machine over £1000.
It doesn’t stop after you’ve attended the training course. You get the contact details for Derek Bolton, our carpet cleaning trainer and renowned industry guru, who has over 40 years of experience within the professional carpet cleaning industry.
Cleansmart are also on hand to help with any technical questions – Matt has over 20 years of experience in the industry and our engineer Mark is a former carpet cleaner with over 30 years of experience in the industry. Most suppliers won’t have staff on hand who have actually worked as professional carpet cleaners – we understand the business from both sides!
If you come across any problem that you’re not sure how to deal with, just take a photo with your phone. Email it over to use and we’ll get right back to you with some advice.
- ‘Always in stock’ parts
Airflex machines are manufactured at our premises in the UK. This means we always have stock of parts – if we run out of one part it means we can’t build machines and fulfil customer’s orders! As you can imagine, we work very hard to make sure that we don’t run out of parts.
All parts are available with same day despatch when the order is placed before 2.30pm.
We regularly hear from carpet cleaners who haven’t been able to immediately supply parts from the supplier of their machine. Many carpet cleaning machines are US manufactured, which means parts will need ordering in from the US if the supplier doesn’t have the part on hand.
- Parts quality
We only use top quality branded parts. We don’t cut costs on using cheaper parts. Why? Because if you build a machine using top quality parts, you get a reliable machine that isn’t going to cause our customers (or us!) problems down the line. Yes, you can get cheap vac motors on Ebay, but if you’ve spent a lot of money on a professional carpet cleaning machine, why would you compromise your machine’s performance and reliability by installing cheap vac motors.
- Parts cost
We also keep our parts costs as low as possible and considerably lower than some of our competitors. For example, at the time of writing the cost to supply a new 800psi pump head is £165.33 + VAT, compared to another machine supplier supplying exactly the same pump head for £331 + VAT. And if you’ve bought a machine from this supplier and don’t buy the replacement pump from them, you invalidate the machine warranty.
Many suppliers insist that the machine must be returned to them for servicing and repairs. We realise this is a highly inconvenient and costly exercise for a small professional carpet cleaning company. So we came up with another way:
- Designed for easy maintenance:
First we design our machines to be easy to work on. A vac motor or pump can easily be changed in 15 minutes (can take half a day on same machines!). In fact, it takes longer to unwind the power cables from the back of an Airlfex machine than it does to open the machine up to access the motor housing.
On Airflex Pro/Storm/Miniflex machines the vac motors fold out away from the machine, making everything really easy to access. Where helpful, we fit quick connects to the pump head, making it easy and quick for the pump head to be removed Airflex Pro and Miniflex machines with built in heaters, we fit quick connects to the internal heater, so that the heater can be removed for repair while you continue to use the machine.
- Local engineers
The second thing we do is use 3rd party engineers. We have a relationship with many repair engineers all over the UK, so the machine can normally be repaired or serviced without needing to come back to Cleansmart. In fact, Airflex machines are so easy to work on, that anyone who repairs any sort of cleaning equipment will very easily have the machine back up and running in no time.
- Repairs while you wait
You are also welcome to bring the machine to Cleansmart. As long as you have booked ahead and we know you are coming, we’ll be able to fix the machine while you wait so you can take it away on the same visit. Most workshop jobs are complete in less than an hour.
- Online trouble shooter
We also have an online trouble shooter so that your engineer can very quickly diagnose any machine faults. Very often if there’s a problem with a machine, it something simple like an airlock in the pump system or a blocked filter etc. Customers can also use the trouble shooter 24 hours a day to see if the problem is something that can be easily dealt with on the job, without needing to take the machine to an engineer.
